Why time matters more than you think
The stains that ruin wedding dresses are the ones you cannot see on the day. Champagne, wine and soft drinks dry invisibly, then oxidise over the following months into yellow or brown marks. Sugar is the culprit, and it does its damage silently while the dress hangs in a wardrobe.
Add ground-in soil and grass along the hem, perspiration in the underarms and foundation along the neckline, and you have four different stain groups on one garment, each needing a different treatment.
A dress brought in within a few weeks of the wedding almost always comes out well. A dress that spent three years in a bag in an attic usually does not come out entirely. If your wedding was recent, do not wait.

- Hem, train, underarms and neckline pre-treated by hand, each with its own product
- Cleaned with minimal mechanical action, matched to tulle, silk, satin, organza or lace
- Hand-finished and shaped, layer by layer
- Returned on a wide hanger in a breathable cover, ready for storage
Storing the dress afterwards
Never store a wedding dress in plastic. Plastic traps moisture and causes the fabric to yellow. Use a breathable cotton cover and keep the dress dark, dry and at room temperature.
Heavy dresses should ideally be stored flat in acid-free tissue paper rather than hanging, because the weight of the skirt pulls on the shoulders over the years. We will tell you which is right for your dress when you collect it.

We also clean wedding suits, tuxedos, veils, boleros and bridesmaids' dresses. Bring everything at once and it comes back together.
